Preparation #

Switch to the page that con­ta­ins your form and open it in Ele­men­tor. Then sel­ect the form that you want to edit.

Step 1: Activate double opt-in #

To use the dou­ble opt-in, switch to the Actions after sen­ding tab. The­re, sel­ect the opti­ons Coll­ect Sub­mis­si­ons, Forge12 Dou­­b­le-Opt-in and Email.

Step 2: Configure opt-in mail #

After acti­va­ti­on, the “Forge12 Dou­­b­le-Opt-in” tab appears, whe­re you can make the set­tings for the dou­ble opt-in.

To do this, enter the name of the form field con­tai­ning the visi­tor’s e‑mail address in the cor­re­spon­ding field(To).

You can find the name by ope­ning the cor­re­spon­ding field (e.g. email) in the Form fields tab and rea­ding out the field name the­re.

Then enter the sen­der (From e‑mail), the name of the sen­der (From name) and the desi­red sub­ject .

Then sel­ect the desi­red tem­p­la­te and save the set­tings by cli­cking on the “Save” but­ton.

Step 3: Configure standard mail #

As soon as the opt-in sys­tem is acti­va­ted and con­fi­gu­red, you should set up the stan­dard emails. To do this, use the Ele­men­tor set­tings in the Email and Email 2 tab (optio­nal) as usu­al. Acti­va­te the­se by swit­ching to Action after sen­ding and sel­ec­ting the cor­re­spon­ding actions.

To send a stan­dard mail after the dou­ble opt-in, enter the reci­pi­ent (To), the sen­der (From e‑mail), the sub­ject and the mes­sa­ge text as usu­al. Then save the set­tings by cli­cking on “Save”.

Crea­te User after Opt-in?Acti­va­te if a user account is to be crea­ted for the user after the suc­cessful dou­ble opt-in.
